Ryne Sandberg was the 1984 NL MVP, 10x all star, 9x gold glove winner and 1990 home run derby winner. He was a second baseman who really had some pop ins his bat, and his swing was tailored for Wrigley Field. The Cubs retired Sandberg’s #23. Ryne Sandberg was elected into the hall of fame in 2005.
