During his 15 year career Catfish Hunter pitched for the Oakland Athletics and the Yankees. He became the highest paid pitcher in baseball (at the time) when he signed with the Yanks in 1975. Hunter was a 5x World Champion, 1974 Cy Young winner, 8x All Star. Catfish pitched a perfect game on May 8, 1968. Catfish Hunter died in 1999 at the age of 53, after falling down his stairs at home, he was suffering from Lou Gehrig’s disease at the time. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1987.
